A Pre Parliament Event cum Inquilab  International Film Festival in Chandigarh India is being organized by the Urdu & Persian Literary Society of the Department of Urdu Punjab University under the auspicious of the Council of Parliament of World’s Religions and the United Nations Educational Social Cultural Organization: in the form a film festival; focused on Contributions made by Historical Panj-aab to provide a Program that is illustrative of the 2009 Parliament Theme, Topics and Spirit of “Inquilab : To Make A World Of Difference By Hearing Each Other And Healing The Earth  - As We Are All In This Together - To Foster One Earth Community -  Amidst Two Places: The Practical And The Spiritual”

Your contribution of films for the event, and your presence is requested to grace the occasion : support, and confirm availability to participate in the Pre Parliament Event cum Inquilab International Film Festival in Chandigarh. 

The Mission of the Parliament of World’s Religionsis to Make a World of Difference: by Hearing each other, for Healing the Earth. The Vision of the Councilfor a Parliament of the World's Religions is of a just, peaceful and sustainable world. To accomplish this, all individuals and communities are invited who are equally invested in attaining this goal. Emerging at this moment in history is a growing and shared recognition that "we are all in this together."  The deciding factor in our future will have to do with those things which will make us an ‘One Earth community’, and for which the common responsibility for fostering One Earth community comes from two places: ‘the practical and the spiritual’. These most pressing challenges facing us can only be addressed through these two inseparable dimensions. UNESCO has contributed to address these two inseparable dimensions by sharing the spiritual messages of the Books Of The Major Faiths Of The World through its Translations in English. Among these Translations in English is of a few Selections from the Sacred Writings of the Sikhs – from which one also learns more of the message of these two inseparable dimensions- the temporal and the spiritual the miri and  piri and that "we are all in this together": hum sab Ik hain messages.
